Deputies in Henry County on Friday arrested a man that led authorities on a high speed pursuit that began in Patrick County. According to BTW 21, deputies in Patrick County attempted to stop a Ford Mustang that they clocked going 67 in a 40 MPH zone on County Line Road.

22-year-old Jody Adkins of Patrick Springs, reached speeds as high as 135 MPH while attempting to elude authorities. Congestion on Fairystone Park Highway in Henry County forced Adkins to slow down and allowed a deputy to perform a Precision Immobilization Technique to stop the vehicle.

Adkins has been charged with felony eluding law enforcement, reckless driving, and reckless driving by speed. Adkins is being held without bond in the Patrick County Jail.
