Update: The Danville Police Department has located the vehicle that was involved in a shooting incident on Tuesday afternoon.  The department is still requesting the public’s assistance identifying the driver of the vehicle involved.

Around 1 pm Tuesday, officers responded to the 1100 block of Franklin Turnpike in reference to a shots fired incident. No one was injured, and at this time nothing appears to have been struck by gunfire. The center turn lane and left southbound lanes of Franklin Turnpike were blocked during the investigation.
