A man arrested for a fatal shooting at the Danville Mall in October of 2022 has pled guilty to second degree murder. 19-year-old Christian Isiah Pinckney pled guilty to charges of second degree murder,  felony possession of a firearm, and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Pinckney shot and killed 26-year-old Tyshais Deshaun King inside of Hibbett Sports on October 29, 2022. Pinckney was arrested on November 1, 2022 in Burlington, NC.

Pinckney will serve a minimum of eight years in prison and could serve as many as 48 years if he receives the maximum sentence.
