A man has been arrested in Cincinnati, Ohio for a homicide that occurred in Axton in August. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Akeem Laquan Clark was arrested in Cincinnati by United States Marshals on November 20 without incident.
Clark has been charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm after having been convicted of a felony. He is currently being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center and is awaiting extradition back to Henry County.
Clark was charged with the killing of 24-year-old Antwain Hampton on August 11 in the 7000 block of Axton Road. Authorities determined that Clark and Hampton got into a fight and then Clark pulled out a gun and shot Hampton.
