The Eighth Incarceration Doesn’t Define Us (I.D.D.U.) graduating class was honored during a ceremony Tuesday, at the Danville Police Department.
I.D.D.U. provides resources and assistance to citizens who have recently been released from jail to ease back into the community. Over the last eight weeks, graduates learned about job readiness, housing, education options, budgeting and more.
Matthew Ryan Anderson, Kenneth Dodson, LaParker Robertson, Douglas Sandidge, and Kerry Anne Hartman all completed the eight-week program led by DPD Community Relations Liaison Ashtyn Foddrell.
During the ceremony, graduates gave testimonies about the program’s impact on their lives. Interim Chief Chris Wiles also delivered remarks during the ceremony.
