A home in Pittsylvania County was destroyed by a fire late Wednesday night. The fire occurred in the 7300 block of Dry Fork Road just before midnight.

The occupant of the home was out of town during the fire and there were no injuries. Pittsylvania County Public Safety will be investigating the cause of the fire on Thursday.
