A stand off in Henry County has ended after a woman barricaded herself inside her home on Friday morning. The stand off began just after 8 am at 1116 Daniels Creek Road in Collinsville.

Family members reported to the Henry County Sheriff’s that 52-year-old April Dawn Manning had a firearm and had been speaking irrationally. The woman said multiple times that she wouldn’t go to jail and made threats to the tactical team on scene.

The tactical team then used chemicals and made entry into the home to take the woman into custody. The woman suffered minor injuries.

Manning was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and obstructing justice.
