A long time Danville restaurant announced on Tuesday that it’s closing its doors. Western Sizzlin’ on Riverside announced on Tuesday that the restaurant is closing and the last day was December 31.

A “For Sale” had been out in front of the building for the past few months. On social media Western Sizzlin employees indicated that they had been told the owners of the building were raising the rent.

With the restaurant closing over 90 people lost their jobs. A post online said that anyone who purchased or received an unused gift card can bring it to the restaurant by January 21 to redeem it.
