Youth ages 9-17 are invited to participate in the 6th annual Danville Youth Police Academy, an exciting summer camp free of charge.

The academy goes from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, from June 10-27. Early drop off and late pick up is available. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Awards, speakers, demonstrations, physical fitness activities and more will be held during the academy.

“The Youth Police Academy provides children with real life experiences as told by community members, police officers, their peers, and others. Each child will also learn what officers are tasked to do each day,” said Cpt. Sylvia Brooks.

Parents must provide transportation to and from the Danville Police Department, located at 1 Community Way.
