Flooding caused by heavy rain over the weekend has closed part of the Riverwalk Trail in Danville. The Riverwalk Trail is closed from the YMCA to Fall Creek.
The Newton’s Landing trailhead and the Abreu-Grogan boat ramp are also closed.
Sandy Creek Park, the Riverwalk Trail along Main Street, and the Dan Daniel Memorial Park trailheads are all affected by high water at this time. Additionally, Anglers Park is currently closed.
Danville Parks & Recreation is asking people to follow all signage at this time and avoid flooded areas and areas with debris.
