A suspect has been arrested following an arson on Wednesday morning in Martinsville. The Marinsville Fire Department and Police Department responded to the structure fire at 1:00 am on Wednesday at 1207 Hickory Street.

When officers arrived on scene they found the structure fully engulfed in flames. The house next door also sustained minor damage from the fire and there were no injuries.

Evidence was collected by police and Martinsville Fire Marshal Andy Powers processed the scene. As a result of the investigation, Cameron Deandre Johns, 21 years old of Martinsville, was charged with Arson and held on no bond in the Martinsville City Jail.
