The Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce and Danville Community College (DCC) are thrilled to announce a collaborative effort to hire a Special Programs Coordinator. Reporting to the President & CEO of the Chamber, this position will play a pivotal role in supporting the Chamber’s strategic growth initiatives while also assisting in the management of the Short-Term Cybersecurity Training Program at Danville Community College.
“This position is critical to the success of the Short-Term Cybersecurity Training initiative,” said Anne Moore-Sparks, president and CEO of the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce. “As students complete the sixteen-week class and obtain certification, the Special Programs Coordinator will partner with DCC to identify employment opportunities in the region. Listening to the needs of businesses and responding with high-quality, in-demand programming is a top priority. We are so fortunate to have DCC as a partner because of their expertise and reputation of providing exceptional training to our community.”
The Special Programs Coordinator will work closely with the Chamber’s Director of Member Engagement to plan, organize, and execute all Chamber programs and events. Additionally, the coordinator will devote fifty percent of their time to collaborating with Danville Community College in managing the Short-Term Cybersecurity Training Program.

The Special Programs Coordinator position is a 40-hour per week, full-time position with benefits. The successful candidate will split their time evenly between working with the Chamber and Danville Community College.
