Average gas prices across Virginia continued to climb this week as the average price is up 12 cents to $3.23 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is up by eight cents to $3.27 a gallon.

Prices across the southside have also continued to rise as the average price of gas in Danville is up by 12 cents to $3.08, while the average price in Pittsylvania County jumped by 19 cents to $3.23 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is up by a nickel for the second week in a row to $3.05 and in Henry County the average price climbed nine cents to $3.14. Prices in Halifax County are up 12 cents to $3.31 a gallon.
