A 20-year-old Virginia Tech student has been reported missing. According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Johnny Roop was last seen on Friday at his apartment complex on Canyon Ridge Rd. when he was headed towards his parents house in Abingdon.

Roop was going to his parents house to take an online exam at 5 pm on Friday. His phone was last pinged on Friday at 4:26 pm near New River Valley Mall.

Roop drives a 2018 Black Toyota Camry with license plate TXW6643. The car also has a Virginia Tech flag sticker on the back window.
