The Danville Police Department’s annual Easterific event returns on March 28. Donations and sign-ups are now open until full.
This year, the Department has a goal of reaching 100 children who otherwise may not receive an Easter basket. For anyone interested in making a donation, baskets must be pre-wrapped and store bought. No homemade baskets will be accepted.
Candy donations are also being accepted for this event. All pre-wrapped, individual pieces of candy will be given to children when they receive their baskets.
The purpose of this event is to promote a positive relationship between the police department and the community. Donations are now being accepted at 1 Community Way for the Easterific event, and registration is also now open.
Registration is required. To register your child or to make a donation, contact Cpl. Sylvia Brooks at 434-797-8898 ext. 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. Space is limited. Times will be assigned upon registration.
