The Danville Fire Department responded to a house fire on Tuesday night. At 8:54 pm units responded to 323 Hampton Drive and found the homes occupants and pets outside.

Light smoke was  showing from the front door. Engine 2, was first on scene, they promptly entered the home to investigate the smoke. After a quick look, Engine 2 discovered the attic was filled with smoke due to the fire at the front ridgeline of the roof.

Power was killed by the electric department and fire crews pulled ceilings inside and soffit from the outside, exposing the flames. 1 3/4 inch attack lines were pulled and the flames were extinguished.

No injuries occurred during the incident. The Danville Fire Department was assisted by the Danville Life Saving Crew, Danville Police Department and Danville Utilities Department. The Fire Department responded with Engine 1, Ladder 1, Engine 2, Engine 5, support vehicles Safety 1, Battalion 1 and the Division Chief of Training.
