Caesars Virginia has provided nearly $500,000 to the Danville Life Saving and First Aid Crew for the purchase of a brand-new emergency medical transport vehicle.

“We greatly appreciate all that the Life Saving Crew does for the City of Danville and hope that this new vehicle will help them further support the needs of our community,” said Chris Albrecht, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Caesars Virginia.

Danville Life Saving and First Aid Crew is an organization of highly-skilled volunteers and staff, accepted and respected as an integral part of government, responding to every appropriate call while utilizing progressive and cutting-edge practices. The organization strive to be a leader in providing prehospital care to the sick and injured as needed, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

“Because of Caesars Virginia’s support, the financial resources were available to purchase a transport that is fully stocked with leading edge equipment,” said Robbie Woodall, Crew Chief for Danville Life Saving and First Aid Crew. “This ambulance will be the foundation for our expansion to Danville’s East side where we will locate an emergency response station and a center for our Community Paramedicine program.”

“The Crew responds to over 15,000 calls each year,” said Johnny Mills, CEO for Danville Life Saving and First Aid Crew, “Our Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) are focused on caring for and providing a source of medical hope to those who are experiencing some of life’s worst moments. The new transport vehicle provides our crew with the needed equipment to deliver the critical care that our patients require.”

The Danville Life Saving Crew is dependent upon the generosity of our neighbors, our foundations, and our local businesses and industries. “It is only because our community invests in this work that our Crew is equipped with the right equipment. We are grateful to Caesars Virginia for this donation and for their continuous support of the Crew,” said Woodall.
