On March 8, the Southern Virginia Regional Alliance released their 2024 Wage and Benefits Survey. The data collected from this survey will provide valuable insight into the current compensation and benefits trends within the region. Regional economic developers and chambers encourage every organization to have their human resource expert complete this form. Those who participate will receive the data analysis on wage and benefit trends in the region.
The survey consists of two parts. Part 1 involves an online survey, while Part 2 requires the completion of an Excel spreadsheet.
Part 1 of the survey is designed to be completed in 20 minutes or less. This section of the survey focuses on gathering information related to company profiles, employment counts, wage practices, benefits, incentives, and special programs.
Part 2 of the survey involves the completion of an Excel spreadsheet. This portion of the survey aims to provide a detailed analysis of employment metrics to accompany part one of the survey results. The data collected from these Excel spreadsheets will be used for an aggregate analysis of:
- In and out commuter patterns of the regional workforce
- Demographics of the region’s workers by age, ethnicity, and gender
- Salary information by grouped job description & practices
It is important to note that this data will not identify individual names but will contribute to a comprehensive understanding of labor shed in the region.
The deadline for survey data collection is March 31, 2024. It is important for all industries to submit their data by the deadline to provide accurate and comprehensive results. Only one submission is needed per organization, so please provide this to your upper management and human resource manager as soon as possible to ensure your company’s participation.
