The Danville Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Tuesday morning at 120 Old Piney Forest Road.  Upon arrival Engine 2’s crew found a mobile home with heavy fire and smoke showing from the rear door and porch area.

After other fire units arrived on scene E2’s crew entered the home to find the majority of the fire coming from the laundry room.  While E2’s crew extinguished the fire, Ladder one’s crew performed a search of the home for occupants.  No occupants were found.

The other fire units on scene provide man power and assisted with other fire ground operations.  Danville fire department responded with 3 engines, 1 ladder truck, 1 safety office, and 1 Battalion Chief.

The fire department was also assisted by Danville Life Saving Crew, Danville Police, and Danville Utilities.  The Fire Marshal’s office respond to investigate and the cause is still under investigation   All fire units remained on scene for approximately 1.5 hours for overhaul and clean up.
