The Virginia Department of Transportation is conducting a study of potential improvements along Route 41 (Franklin Turnpike) in Pittsylvania County.
This study includes a public meeting Monday, March 25, 5:30 pm at the Mt. Hermon Volunteer Fire Department, 4268 Franklin Turnpike.
Interested residents are also invited to fill out a survey about improvements along that corridor.
The study area extends from north of Hunting Hills Road to Orphanage Road and focuses on providing safety enhancements and further bicycle, pedestrian and transit access. Recommendations from this project may be developed into future funding applications for Smart Scale and other funding programs.
