Average gas prices across Virginia climbed eight cents to $3.45 a gallon this week, while the average price of gas across the country is up by seven cents for the second week in a row to $3.53 a gallon.

The average price of gas in Danville is up by two cents to $3.25, while the average price in Pittsylvania County jumped 14 cents to $3.39 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price remained the same from last week at $3.33 and in Henry County the average price is up by six cents to $3.39. Prices in Halifax County jumped by 12 cents to $3.49 a gallon.
