The City of Danville deemed that three apartment buildings at Woodside Village Apartments were unsafe due to sewer backups on Thursday. The city is required by Virginia Maintenance Code to declare the buildings unsafe until the condition was corrected.

According to the city, as of Thursday afternoon the sewer backups have been cleared for all three buildings. However, there are four apartments that will need remediation before they will be approved. 11 occupants live in those four apartments.
