One man was killed and one man was arrested following a homicide in Danville on Sunday. At 1:20 pm, Danville Police responded to a shooting incident inside a residence in the 600 block of Fairhaven Circle. Once on scene, officers located Quayshawn Malik Witherspoon, 32, of Danville, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Louis Sirach Garnett III, 33, was at the scene and taken into custody. He is charged with second degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

At the time of this incident, both men were living at the residence in which the incident occurred.

This was an isolated incident that occurred after a disagreement escalated between the two men. No other individuals are involved.

Garnett is in the Danville City Jail under no bond.
