One person was killed in a fire in Rockingham County last week and a woman has been arrested for murder.

In the early morning of Tuesday March 26, several Rockingham County Fire Departments responded to the residence at 151 Kinknicar Road in Reidsville to combat a structure fire. After the fire was extinguished, a deceased individual was located within the rubble of the burned structure.

The Rockingham County Fire Investigation Task Force was then activated to investigate the cause of the fire. Following a thorough investigation Natasha Marie Wren, 35, of 7739 NC 87 Reidsville, N.C., was charged with First-Degree Arson and First-Degree Murder. Natasha Marie Wren was subsequently arrested and placed in the Rockingham County Detention Facility under No Bond. This investigation is ongoing.
