It’s time to turn the page and head in a different direction and recognize our very first “Superstar of the Month”…she being Tara Stafford, teacher at Chatham High School…letter of nomination submitted by Tamara Walker.

Tara always goes above and beyond the role of just being the average teacher. She truly puts her everything in striving to be a good role model, and most importantly creating a safe environment for her students. This past year, she helped to create and start a “Kindness Club” at her school that has become super successful. Her most recent engagement through the club, was a joint effort with all of Chatham High School to make tons of bookmarks to hide in the books at Twin Springs Elementary after they suffered a heartbreaking loss recently. Tara, who is crazy over science,  is always striving to be a great teacher, and at all times, giving the most she can to her students. She truly looks at them as if they were her own. Among Tara’s many accomplishments, she has also been awarded “Teacher of the Year” honors for Pittsylvania County on two separate occasions. Any school would be tremendously lucky to have her on their roster.

We overwhelmingly agree with Tamara Walker’s letter of nomination. That being said, we are delighted to award the very first WBTM/Danville Dental Associates “Superstar of the Month” to an outstanding teacher…Tara Stafford…congratulations!
