The Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce has announced that Delilah White has been hired as the Special Programs Coordinator, a newly created position that will play an integral role in delivering high value to Chamber members.
White will assist in the execution of programs and events at the Chamber. In this role she will also collaborate with Danville Community College to connect students who complete a 16-week Short-Term Cybersecurity Program and obtain certification with opportunities to become employed in the region. The total cost of the Cybersecurity Program is $850,000. $850,000 (100%) is funded through a U.S. Department of Labor – Employment and Training Administration Grant.
White is a native of Chatham, VA, and a graduate of Chatham High School. She received her Bachelor of Communications from Emory & Henry College in 2005 and her Master of Communications from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in 2009. White also earned a certification in Mechatronics Engineering from the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center. She has lived, studied, and worked in Beijing, China, Kingston, Jamaica, and Togo, West Africa.
White brings a strong background in project management, strategic relationship management, customer service excellence, and process improvement.
