The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the breaking and entering of two stores within Pittsylvania County. The first break in was on April 25 at approximately 3:53am located at 3120 Mt. Cross Rd, Rickey’s Market.

The suspect was wearing a black hat, black hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, camouflage mask, blue jeans, and black shoes.  The suspect is possibly operating a dark colored four door sedan unknown make and model.

The second break in was on May 2 at approximately 3:52am located at 2120 Franklin Turnpike, Liberty gas station. The suspect was wearing a long sleeve yellow shirt, black hat/mask, dark colored pants. is 

In both events an unknown individual entered the business by force and once inside stole an undetermined amount of Newport brand cigarettes.  

If anyone has any information about this incident, please call the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office 434-432-7931 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-791-0044. Callers may remain anonymous and could receive up to $5,000 cash reward upon the arrest and conviction of the alleged suspect.
