Donald Trump’s campaign has sent a cease-and-desist letter to 5th District Representative Bob Good’s reelection campaign. The letter calls for Good to stop using yard signs or merchandise that imply that Trump is backing Good’s campaign.
“To be clear, neither you nor your campaign are authorized to use President Trump’s name or the Campaign’s to falsely imply their support of your candidacy. Nor are you or your campaign authorized to claim that you represent or are otherwise associated with President Trump or the Campaign,” said attorney David Warrington in the letter.
The letter also calls the signs a fraud on voters in the district and that they are an abuse of the voters trust.
Last week Trump endorsed Good’s opponent John McGuire. Good and McGuire will face off in the June 18 Primary Election.
