Two men were arrested on drug charges in Henry County on Tuesday following a traffic stop. Deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop near the 1800 block of Virginia Ave. 

The vehicle was occupied by two male subjects. During the traffic stop, a Narcotics K9 alerted to narcotics inside the vehicle. Both subjects were detained, and the vehicle was subsequently searched.

During the search of the vehicle, pre-packaged bags of methamphetamine and fentanyl were located along with multiple items consistent with the distribution of narcotics.

The passenger of the vehicle, Justin Mitchell Harris, 31, of Ridgeway, was arrested for possession with methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute. Harris is being held without bond at the Henry County Adult Detention Center.

The driver of the vehicle, Zachary Edward Hager, 38, of Martinsville, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of fentanyl. Hager is currently held with a $5,000.00 secured bond at the Henry County Adult Detention Center.

Both men were already on probation for drug charges.
