On Friday, The Danville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 263 Arnett Boulevard. Upon arrival units found a single story residential structure with heavy smoke showing on the outside. Crews met the single occupant in the yard and confirmed that there was no one else inside.

Crews made entry to the structure and encountered heavy fire in the kitchen. It was also found to be some fire in the attic as well. Crews were able to bring the fire under control  in about 20 minutes.

Crews remained on scene checking for hidden fires and cleaning up for approximately two hours. No injuries were reported. The single occupant was displaced but is staying with family. Four engines, one ladder truck. a safety officer and a chief officer responded.
