A Pittsylvania County man has been arrested after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent a complaint to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday. The complaint alleged a crime involving the sexual exploitation of children.
Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office personnel assigned to the Cybercrimes and Criminal Investigations Divisions investigated the complaint and arrested Michael Andrew McLeese, 55, on Wednesday. McLeese, of Axton, is a registered sex offender.
He was arrested on two charges of use of communication devices to facilitate certain offenses involving children and a probation violation. McLeese is in the Pittsylvania County Jail under no bond.
