The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday morning. At 1:56 am, the Martinsville/Henry County 911 Communications Center received a call about someone shooting into a residence located at 4174 Mountain Valley Rd. in Axton.

Deputies responded to the scene and made contact with the tenants that live at the residence. Jordan Stockton, Stephanie Thornton, and Gregory Campbell were all inside the residence when the shooting occurred and there were no injuries. The residence did however sustain damage due to the incident.
