The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors appointed an Interim Administrator on Tuesday night. The board appointed County Treasurer Vincent Shorter as the Interim Administrator for six months beginning on July 1st.

During this time the county will conduct a search to find a new administrator. Former County Administrator Stuart Turille announced his resignation in April after being in the position for just over a year.
