The third suspect for a murder that occurred in Southwest Virginia was arrested in Danville on Saturday. Virginia State Police and Danville Police arrested 41-year-old Virginia Redden of Ewing, Va. on Saturday. She has been charged with Conspiracy to Commit 1st Degree Murder.
The charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Virginia State Police into the death of Jerry L. Wheet, 44, of Ewing, Va. At approximately 3:55 p.m. on April 11, 2024, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office notified the state police of a body that had been burned in a wooded area near ATV trails along Valley Springs Rd in the community of Rose Hill. The Office of the Medical Examiner in Roanoke confirmed the body was Wheet.
The two other suspects, 39-year-old Amos Lee Hall, of Rose Hill, Va. and 33-year-old Christopher Holeman, of White Springs, Fla., were taken into custody last week by the Suwanee County Sheriff’s Office. Hall was charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, while Holeman was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
