Two people were injured during a fire in Pittsylvania County on Saturday. Blairs Fire and Rescue responded to a dryer fire in the 900 block of Pritchett Lane.
Upon arrival units found a single family home with fire showing from the basement, first floor, and attic. Two attack lines were used to extinguish the flames.
The two individuals at the home were outside when units arrived. Both were injured. One was taken by air in serious condition, while the other was taken by ground transport with minor injuries to a local hospital.
Crews were on scene for two hours. Blairs fire and rescue were assisted by Mount Hermon, Ringgold, Keeling, Kentuck, Dry Fork, Laurel Grove Fire Departments and Pittsylvania County public safety.
