The Danville Police Department has arrested a man following a road rage incident on Tuesday. 28-year-old Marlowe Malik Cobbs, of Milton, NC, has been charged with multiple felonies.
At 4 pm on Tuesday, officers responded to a shots fired report in the area of the 700 block of Halifax Rd. A short time later, a victim reported that his vehicle had been shot into during a road rage incident.
Through information obtained at the scene, the suspect vehicle and driver were identified and located in Caswell County, NC with the assistance of the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office.
Cobbs has been extradited back to Virginia and is in the Danville City Jail under no bond. He is charged with:
- Shooting from a vehicle
- Attempted aggravated malicious wounding
- Use of a firearm in commission of a felony
- Discharging a firearm in public
- Child endangerment
- Shooting at an occupied vehicle
