The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a heat advisory across the southside. The advisory is in effect on Tuesday from 12 pm to 8 pm.

Heat indexes are expected to range from 102 to 107 degrees. Isolated thunderstorms are expected on Tuesday afternoon as well.
