Danville Parks and Recreation will be hosting a soft opening of the city’s newest splash pad in Doyle J Thomas Park on Monday. This will allow Parks and Rec teams to observe performance of the parks facilities and will allow for maintenance, testing and training. Intermittent shut downs may be required during this process.
A full scale ribbon cutting is scheduled for Friday July 19th. The director of Parks and Rec Bill Sgrinia said “ We are excited to have a soft opening of Danville’s second splash pad. We know that local residents will truly enjoy this addition to Doyle Thomas Park, which is already so well-loved.”
Admission to the splash pad is free.
