The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing teenage girl. Authorities are searching for 13-year-old Mackenzie Paige Shelton who was reported missing on Wednesday morning.

A K-9 unit established a track from the residence to Cherry Hill Church in Cluster Springs, Virginia. It is believed she may have obtained a ride at this location. 

Shelton’s cell phone and watch were located at the scene. Investigating officers have spoken to several individuals acquainted with Shelton , who have reason to believe she may be traveling out of state, possibly to Missouri or Minnesota, but have no further details to provide at this time.
