The Eden Police Department is searching for a Roanoke woman that is wanted for arson. On Monday, at 11:56 pm, officers with the Eden Police Department, Eden Fire Department and Leaksville Rural 210 Fire Department responded to 2388 Harrington Highway in reference to a structure fire.
All parties that were inside the residence were able to escape without injury. Fire Crews were able to extinguish the fire, which caused extensive damage to the home and a vehicle.
After a thorough investigation, detectives learned the fire was started with malice. After consultation with the Rockingham County District Attorney’s Office, the suspect, Tesha Camelle Joyce of Roanoke, has been charged with first-degree arson.
Joyce’s whereabouts are unknown. The Eden Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Tesha Camelle Joyce.
