Average gas prices across Virginia dropped by seven cents this week to $3.22 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down six cents to $3.35 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville fell by nine cents to $3.04, while the average price in Pittsylvania County dropped by 12 cents to $3.06 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by eight cents for the second week in a row to $3.13 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is down by a dime to $3.16. Prices in Halifax County dropped by eight cents to $3.28 a gallon.
