A Danville institution closed its doors for good on Sunday. Mary’s Diner opened and closed for the final time on Sunday after serving meals in the community for over 70 years. 

The restaurant on Piney Forest was open for 73 years. The restaurant cited lagging sales due to inflation as the reason for closing the business.
