A man was arrested in Eden on Friday for rape. On Thursday, July 18, The Eden Police Department received a report alleging a Second-Degree Rape and Sexual Battery.

After a thorough investigation and consulting with the Rockingham County District Attorney’s Office, warrants were issued on 23-year old Zachary Logan Baumann for one count of Second-Degree Rape and one county of Sexual Battery.

Baumann was arrested without incident and transported to the Rockingham County Magistrate’s office. Baumann received no bond, and is scheduled to appear in Rockingham County District Court on September 10, 2024.

At this time, the investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released.
