Four people were arrested in Franklin County after authorities responded to three different incidents on Saturday. At 1:16am, the first call came in for an active breaking and entering in the 1700 block of Mount Carmel Road. Deputies responded to the scene, but the perpetrators were gone upon arrival.
While processing the scene at this call, deputies were alerted to reports of a vehicle being shot at in the same area. Later that morning, a third call came in alerting of property damage at a home in the 2300 block of Webster Road. Upon arrival to the residence, it appeared there were multiple gunshots fired into the home from the outside.
19-year-old Mason Reyes, of Roanoke, was arrested on charges of statutory burglary of dwelling with intent to murder, larceny of a firearm, shooting at a vehicle with malice, discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle, and firearm use in the commission of felony.
18-year-old Maddix Brothers, of Rocky Mount, was arrested and charged with statutory burglary of a dwelling with intent to murder, rape, rob or arson. Both Reyes and Brothers are being held without bond.
Two 17-year-old juveniles were also arrested and charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Both are being held in a juvenile detention center.
The investigation is still active.
