A jury trial is now set for a man accused of a Gretna homicide. 33-year-old Cordero Rucker is accused of shooting and killing 28-year-old Jonathan Robertson after a Super Bowl Party on Falcon Ridge Drive in Gretna on February 12, 2023.

Rucker was arrested in Lynchburg over two months after the shooting. He has been charged with first degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and reckless handling of a firearm.

Rucker pleaded not guilty on Tuesday. His two-day trial will begin on October 9.
