Tuesday night, the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors voted to approve an after school childcare pilot program. The after school care will be held at Kentuck Elementary School starting in January.

The after school care program will be conducted by Pittsylvania County Parks and Recreation. The program is in response to a study by Virginia Tech that showed the need for child care after school and a feasibility study.

Tutoring and snacks will be offered during the program. The program will have a one time $90 registration fee, with a weekly fee of $55.
