A man has been arrested in Eden, NC for allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old. On Thursday, the Eden Police Department began investigating and consulting with the Rockingham County District Attorney’s Office.
After the investigation, warrants were secured for 26-Year old Peyton Alexander Ladd, of Eden. Ladd has been charged with one count of first degree statutory sexual offense and one count of indecent liberties with a child.
Ladd was transported to the Rockingham County Magistrates office and is being held under no bond. Ladd is scheduled to appear in Rockingham County District Court on October 7.
At this time the investigation is ongoing, and due to the age of the victim, no further information will be released at this time.
