Average gas prices across Virginia fell by six cents this week to $2.98 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country remained the same at $3.20 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville dropped by six cents to $2.80, while the average price in Pittsylvania County dipped by seven cents to $2.84 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by six cents to $2.87 a gallon and in Henry County the average price dropped by six cents as well to $2.87. Prices in Halifax County fell by a dime to $2.94 a gallon.
