A man was arrested over the weekend for a homicide that occurred in Halifax County in July. 25-year-old Raqwan Thompson, of South Carolina, has been arrested in connection with the homicide of Travis Ragsdale that occurred on July 30.
Thompson has been charged with Second Degree Murder, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
On Thursday, the Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Lexington County Sheriff’s Office, and South Carolina State Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Richland County, where Thompson was located and he was taken into custody.
Thompson is being held without bond at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, awaiting extradition back to Halifax County.
