Average gas prices across Virginia rose by two cents this week to $3.00 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is up by a penny to $3.21 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville jumped by seven cents to $2.87, while the average price in Pittsylvania County climbed by 11 cents to $2.95 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by two cents to $2.85 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is up by two cents as well to $2.89. Prices in Halifax County remained the same at $2.94 a gallon.
